MISSION STATEMENT

The SMS community will promote literacy and creativity in students while encouraging social, emotional and physical well-being of lifelong learners who demonstrate pride, respect, and responsibility towards self and others. We believe:

• Everyone should feel welcome and safe in our schools.
• All children can learn and that learning is the purpose of schools.
• Education should help everyone reach full potential, it must prepare us for the future, and it shapes tomorrow’s world.
• Students best succeed when the community, schools, parents, and students work together.
